Our Purpose

A Community That Shows Up

The Order of the Amaranth unites Master Masons and their families around four timeless virtues — and then puts those virtues to work in the world.

Truth

We speak honestly with one another and with the world — holding fast to integrity even when it demands courage.

Faith

Belief in a Supreme Being anchors our brotherhood and sisterhood, reminding us that service is a calling, not merely a duty.

Wisdom

We seek understanding before judgment, and act with deliberate purpose in all charitable endeavors.

Charity

100% of ADF funds go directly to diabetes research — no administrative overhead, no exceptions.

In 1979, the Amaranth Diabetes Foundation was formally adopted as our primary philanthropic project. Thanks to the dedicated support of members across the globe, we have raised over $18 million in the fight against diabetes.

Every dollar raised goes directly to the American Diabetes Association for life-saving research. No overhead. No exceptions.

Ranked 8th out of 3,873 research charities in the United States by SmileHub — a nationally recognized charity ranking leader.

Amaranth Diabetes Foundation

Oregon Amaranth members raised over $26,000 in the 2025–2026 term alone through grassroots events and tireless dedication.

Oregon Grand Court

Grand Courts worldwide have contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars each — a testament to what committed members accomplish.

Decades of Service
Most of all, it means the opportunity to serve your fellow man — to enjoy the close fraternal ties of mutual respect and understanding, enriching our lives with friendship worth far more than gold or silver. — Order of the Amaranth
